Dancing with the Stars couple, Derek Hough and Shannon Elizabeth, have announced their breakup over Twitter.

Derek Hough Twitter:

“Hi everyone, we wanted you all to know directly from us, that Shannon & I have decided to end our relationship as boyfriend & girlfriend…,” they each posted in matching Twitter messages. “However, we love and care about each other very much and will reamin friends and in each others lives.”

Shannon Elizabeth Twitter:

“Thank you everyone for all your sweet words & encouragement — it really means a lot to me!”

Hey, I just figured out a way for Twitter to start making money.  They should charge celebrities a fee to make their announcements.  As many people as they reach making their announcements via Twitter these days, they could end up saving some serious amounts of money by letting their PR people go.

First off, this is not me being mean to Chelsea Clinton.  This is a legitimate story…so no hate mail.

Back in 2000 Godwin Kipkemoi Chepkurgor offered Bill Clinton 40 goats and 20 cows for daughter Chelsea Clinton’s hand in marriage.  You see, by Kenyan standards, that is an extremely generous offer.  You could think of it as what would you give to be married to Orlando Bloom or Miranda Kerr (depending on which side of the gender fence you’re on).  It’s that kind of generous.

Hillary Clinton was in Kenya this week and Mr. Chepkurgor extended the offer again.  Hillary assured him that he would pass the offer along to Chelsea.

Although Chepkurgor is currently married, his wife knows about his offer and is okay with it.  I’m sure she laughed hysterically at him and said “sure, if you want to give all of our livestock to marry that American girl…go for it.  Just know that that’s all you will have when I’m done with you.”  Or something similar in nature.

Of course, Chelsea Clinton would have to breakup with her boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky.

If you ever wondered whether or not celebrities get turned on when they have love scenes and do they ever fall in love on set, I think you have your answer here.  Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, the stars of television show True Blood have confirmed to People that they are engaged.

Moyer has two children from previous relationships, so I guess being an instant mom isn’t a deal killer for Paquin.  Apparently, vampires do make better lovers.  About her relationship with Moyer, Paquin told AOL:

“Obviously, if you’re already with that person then you’re not having to sort of get over the ‘Wow, I’m naked with someone that I don’t even know the middle name of. I think that regardless of what kind of scene you’re doing, the better you know the person you’re working with and the more comfortable you are with them, the more open and real your performance can be. And that goes for stunt scenes and heavy emotional scenes and sex scenes. OK, so I have a little bit of a leg up in that particular area with my on-screen [partner].”

If at first you don’t succeed, try try again.  Jaime Pressly, who celebrated her 32nd birthday on Thursday, got a pretty nice birthday present.  Her boyfriend, entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, proposed to her.  (Pressly’s rep confirms the engagement.)

The star of My Name is Earl celebrated the joint birthday and engagement with a party of 50 of their friends in San Diego.  The scene of the event was at the Hard Rock Hotel’s rooftop bar called Float.

Pressley was previously engaged to DJ Eric Cubiche, who is also the father of her 2 year old son Dezi.

Longtime couple Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham are set to be married today at The Good Shephard Church in Beverly Hills.

Wahlberg had hinted earlier this year that he was ready to tie the know with Durham later this year.  The couple has been together since 2001 and have 3 children together: Ella 5, Michael 3, and Brendan 10 months.

In Touch Magazine is saying that the wedding will be a small one that includes family and just a few friends.

What goes around comes around.  Mariah Carey “dissed” Eminem in her song and video for Obsessed.  Well, that didn’t go over very well with Eminem.  In his latest release, The Warning, he spills more about Carey than we probably wanted to know -- and he doesn’t spare hubby Nick Cannon in the track either.

Listening to the three minute plus song makes it feel more like Eminem is issuing a threat and not just a warning -- with lines like:

“Enough dirt on you to murder you, this is what the fuck I do. Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures.”

“Wow Mariah, I didn’t expect her to go balls out. Bitch, shut the fuck up before I put all them phone calls out you made to my house when you was wild n’ out before Nick.”

So the Eminem Mariah Carey drama continues on….

Jude Law, known almost as much for his acting as his wandering peen, has been confirmed as being the daddy of model Samantha Burke’s baby bump.

Samantha Burke is an aspiring model (as can be seen here by her photo in the Model Mayhem site) and actress from Florida.  I’m not sure how she thought becoming the sperm receptacle for Jude Law would help elevate her career.  He’s already got 3 kids from his marriage to Sadie Frost – which ended in divorce.  Then he moved on to Sienna Miller until he was caught banging around with his kids nanny.

Burke has had a DNA test completed which comfirms that Jude Law is in fact the father of her child, due October 6th.  Law and his rep have also confirmed that he is the father, to TMZ.

I’ll admit it – I do not watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.  The whole concept just makes my skin crawl.  That being said, The Neil Lane engagement rings they get are amazing!  This is the ring Ed Swiderski got to propose to Jillian Harris with last night.

Well, they didn’t make a sex tape together so you would have thought that Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush would have stayed together at least a little bit longer, but they didn’t.

Kardashian’s publicist has confirmed the split saying that everyone is still friends blah blah blah.  But there was the additional denial regarding infidelity.  Hmmmmm….usually when the “I” word is used someone has done deed.  Other sources are claiming it was their conflicting schedules.  Um, yeah like Reggie Bush has a full time gig as an NFL player and Kim Kardashian is a…I’m not completely sure what kind of a working title this woman has other than an opportunist.  I guess in LA that’s a title in and of itself.

But I am hearing some rumblings that she may have eyes for a Yankees baseball player.

Joe Jonas is crying in his milk today because girlfriend Camilla Belle dumped him.  It seems that of the three boy banders, Joe Jonas is the one who can’t seem to make the girls he dates happy.  Belle is the first girlfriend to get the jump on him by doing the dumping first.  Taylor Swift was reportedly dumped by Joe over the phone.  (Looks like that Joe Jonas voo doo doll that Taylor Swift had been sticking pins in worked.)

In a Jonas Brothers concert last night in Detroit, Joe took to the stage in tears.  During the song “Much Better” (which he wrote shortly after he started dating Belle), he changed a few of the words for the occasion.

The original version of the song goes like this: “Get a rep for breakin’ hearts, now I’m done with superstars” and the revised version is: “Get a rep for breakin hearts, now I’m done with movie stars.” -OUCH?

Something tells me Joe Jonas isn’t going to be crying alone for long.
