David Mackie, a salesman from Oklahoma, decided to take advantage of Capital One’s offer to personalize his credit card with an image.  What image did he choose?  Nick Nolte’s 2002 Mugshot.  Hahahahahahahahaha – brilliant.  As you can see, the bank printed out the card and mailed to Mr. Mackie.  A couple of days later, the bank called him asking for the card back and they would send him a $50 credit to his account.   The letter stated that using the celebrity’s image violated their “image upload guidelines.”

He’s agreed, and is sending the card back.

I could see him trying to use the card and the clerk saying “I’m sorry sir, but I can’t take this card….your id doesn’t match your picture on your card.”

Warner Brothers is bringing back my favorite show, as a kid, The Banana Splits.  I watched them in re-runs, but nothing is better than those kids shows that had characters seemingly created during some drug induced creative session (Snorks polka-dotted ears, H.R. Pufnstuf, a talking flute named Freddie – I rest my case).  Of course, they’ve modified the songs a bit and are shooting new segments…because todays kids couldn’t possibly relate to those goofy 60’s/70’s haircuts and fine polyester wardrobes of the kids, but hey…the characters look astonishingly close to the originals.

This is brilliant!  Who needs internet dating sites?  Now you can see your potential date or “friend” in person and have their contact information.  I just found this company that will print your phone number or website…or whatever, on your g-string.  You know you’re already sporting the “whale tail” and getting guys to look…why not do a little more self-promotion at the same time?  You can get 3 pair at a time, so you could get your phone number on one pair, another pair could say “taking back up offers,” and your 3rd pair could say “I’m taken…jealous?”

I’m not the biggest fan of reality television. Seriously, I’m not. The premise of a lot of the shows sounds pretty good, but whoever they have casting these things is clearly some reject casting agent that couldn’t make it in the real entertainment world, so with their 2 minutes of experience, some low budget production company gives them a job. Sorry…I digress.

I watched ABC’s 2 new summer shows: “Wipeout” and “I Survived a Japanese Gameshow”…..and I AM IN LOVE!!!!

The synopsis: WIPEOUT – gigantic dirty balls make a mockery of every attention whore looking for their 15 minutes of fame. If that doesn’t do it, the human whack-a-mole certainly will. I SURVIVED A JAPANESE GAMESHOW – thank you ABC for giving me a new summer drinking game (beer pong will have to wait until the fall). Every time they say “Majide” you drink. I can’t even believe I’m able to type this right now.

Having seen many faces at numerous parties, red carpets, restaurants, and events and not having a clue who they were…I decided to do some research into who these hangers on are. From that, I decided to start a new feature D-Lister Dujour. I thought that if I had the curiousity…so must a lot of other people.

Let me introduce to you Ms. Phoebe Price. According to her MySpace page and her official website….Phoebe was a model and currently lists herself as an actress. Oh yeah, and the BEST part is that she claims to be 29 years old. ROFLMAO!!!!!! I have heard reports that she is actually somewhere in her mid-30’s and that, I believe. That’s why I posted this extreme closeup. If that face is 29, in people years – excluding the surgically enhanced parts, then I’m the Dalai Lama.

Although her acting credits are extremely limited, she still shows up on the red carpet for all kinds of things. One of my favorite photo essays was done by the ladies at Go Fug Yourself. For whatever reason, she was at Cannes, exposing all kinds of herself.

Hey Phoebes….good luck with that “acting” career. I hear Dave Navarro is casting for his next epic feature in Adult.
