You know how sometimes you’ll let your friend win every once in a while so they don’t get frustrated and never play with you again? That’s the only thing I can think of that could possibly explain this. Showtime has a new show that spells failure on so many levels.
First off, it’s being hosted by Shannon Elizabeth. The concept of the show is stand up comedy and burlesque – thankfully not at the same time. Andy Dick stripping while doing standup would no doubt cause a simultaneous vomit fest of all three of the people watching this mess. The show will start with an audience participation bit with Shannon Elizabeth and be followed by 2 stand up acts sandwiched between two burlesque acts.
Apparently this is what we get when we demand original programming. Maybe I should just quit bitching about all the re-makes Hollywood is doing.
