Melissa Rycroft might be a spurned girlfriend, and she’s not the best celebrity dancer, but all that failure got her a man – again. On again, off again boyfriend Tye Strickland asked Rycroft to marry him on June 26th and she said yes.
Jason Mesnick, dis-engaged Rycroft on national television when they both appeared on The Bachelor. But ABC didn’t let the ball drop too far, they also know a gravy train when they see one. When one of their celebrities had to bail on Dancing With the Stars, they called up the broken hearted Rycroft to appear on their show. As a show of his support, Strickland could be seen in the audience several times during her dancing episodes.
Being a fan favorite from the show, and surely garnering a large percentage of the “pity vote” due to Mesnick’s highly visible dumping, Rycroft has landed a guest reporting spot for Good Morning America. Woo Woo…chuga chuga chuga chuga
