TV pitchman, Billy Mays, was found dead this morning by his wife in their Tampa, Florida home. In an eery coinicidence, Billy Mays was also 50 (just like Michael Jackson).
“Although Billy lived a public life, we don’t anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days,” Deborah Mays said in a statement today. “Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times.”
In another eery coinicdence, Mays had been in Philadelphia filming a commercial earlier in the week. He had flown back to Tampa on Saturday. The USAirways plane, that he was on, experienced a double tire blow out upon landing but everyone was reported to be fine. Although, when interviewed by a reporter after the accident, Mays said: “All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping,” he said. “It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head.”

I still miss Billy Mays! I saw an infomercial last night for Sham Wow! and reminded me how sad it is.
