Sasha Grey did it in The Girlfriend Experience and now pornstar Riley Steele is going to be doing it in Piranha 3-D with Jessica Szohr. Sounds juicy doesn’t it? Well, don’t get too worked up. If you were a fan of The Hills Have Eyes you’ll probably be all over this one.
There are no predictions that this is the next Friday The 13th, but there is a pretty heavy duty cast beyond the porn chic and the teeny bopper gossip girl: Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Dina Meyer and Richard Dreyfuss, and Jerry O’Connell are already onboard the Alexandre Aja-helmed horror remake.
The story starts off after an underwater tremor sets free scores of prehistoric man-eating fish in a tourist-friendly lake, forcing a group of strangers to band together to battle the area’s new razor-toothed residents.
Szohr will play a local girl who is intrigued by all the excitement of spring break when it descends on her sleepy lakeside town. Producer Mark Canton is especially looking forward to Riley Steele’s scenes: “Her natural beauty will light up the screen as she frolics with the hordes of spring break partygoers in our very contemporary, scary 3-D movie.”
The picture starts shooting this month in Arizona and is scheduled to bow March 19, 2010.
