I’m not sure who is behind this hideous conspiracy to bring back 80’s fashions. They were hideous then and their even worse now. That being said, I’m convinced that the in the case of Zoe Kravitz that her parents are somehow behind this. Zoe’s mom is Lisa Bonet. You may know her from the news that she named her latest baby Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa. But in the 80’s, she was a pretty big television star. She played Denise Huxtable on the Cosby Show. Then she starred in a spin-off show called A Different World. There were a few movies, but she’s pretty much been off the entertainment grid since the 90’s.
Zoe’s dad is Lenny Kravitz. Most recently he was tied to A-Rod’s ex-wife (Cynthia Rodriguez) when it was reported that he had allowed her to get out of New York and stay at his Miami mansion. In the late 80’s, Lenny was just starting to gain momentum as a popular singer. Now he gets more press with who he’s romantically linked to.
But I digress… so did Lisa or Lenny put her up to this fringed belly shirt and high waisted acid wash jeans outfit? Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the back of her, but I swear the tag on those must say Union Bay. The only thing missing from this look is a neon hair bow, big stiff bangs and fingerless mesh gloves.
