The other name for this tour is Pussification 2009. The big music industry press release of the day is that Snow Patrol will be touring this summer… and who will they be opening for? Wait for it…. Coldplay and U2. I guess we will finally confirm that these bands are not really the same people wearing costumes and makeup. God (or insert your own higher power here) help us all!
From June 5th through the 21st, Snow Patrol will be playing on the North American arena tour of Coldplay. What’s especially humorous heinous about this pairing is that in a 2008 survey conducted by hotel chain Travelodge, Coldplay is the band most people want to fall asleep to. Close runners up: James Blunt, Snow Patrol, Take That, and Norah Jones. So it looks like the North American leg of this tour will be a total snoozefest.
Then from June through September, Snow Patrol, will be opening for U2 on their North American and European tour.
