So douchetard of the year, so far, Chris Brown was charged with 2 felonies today in LA court. He was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats. His arraignment is set for this afternoon. Unfortunately, a spokesperson for the DA’s office says the maximum penalty is a little less than 5 years for these charges.
Me thinks he’s not going to get anywhere near that kind of sentence. I’m guessing he’ll get something like a 30 day sentence (for which he’ll end up spending 4 hours going through processing then be let go “due to overcrowding”), a couple of years of probation, and a about 100 hours of community service. I think they should put him into general population of the downtown (The Towers) LA jail and let him fend for himself. No doubt there’s a lot of Rihanna fans down there that would love to have their way with a sweet cheeked 19 year old who damaged Rihanna’s face.
Update: Chris Brown had his case continued to April 6, 2009. Rihanna did not file a restraining order against him, so that means that they can be in the presence of one another.
