Wow! Macy’s dis-invited The Cheetah Girls from performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Why, you ask? According to PerezHilton.com, it’s because they didn’t think that Adrienne Bailon’s nude pictures made her an appropriate choice for a family oriented event. But Miley Cyrus is still considered okay, for the “family event,” to kick things off with a performance.
So, Macy’s is cool with a girl, who is a MINOR, with pictures all over the internet posing in her underwear, lifting up her shirt, laying on a boy with her shirt hiked up, sharing a piece of candy (mouth to mouth) with another young girl, and that same girl dating a guy who is 20 years old – when she’s only 15. And Adrienne is legally of age to have those pictures out. I’m not saying it was one of the smarter moves…but….
So, by all means Macy’s…we understand that you have a lot of Hannah Montana crap to sell…and there doesn’t seem to be any Cheetah Girls merchandise. But, from where I’m sitting, the bigger “scourge” on “the family” is the fact that a teenage girl takes questionable photos of herself to e-mail to her friends (male and/or female) and that seems to be okay in your book.

I have to agree. Miley has put some questionable pics out there as a minor, yet has a spot. ONE of the Cheetah Girls, of “legal age” puts out questionable pics and all 3 are chopped. Something is not right here? It may just be i prefer the Cheetah Girls over Hannah Montana, but if its alright to have a minor that has these pics out on your parade it should be alright to have a person of “Legal age” be in your parade.

I totally agree with this blog post. Miley is selling millions of dollars, maybe billions in merchandise. so it is OK for her, a teenager to do what she wants, no matter whether it is appropriate behavior for a teen in the Disney business. I say this is a bunch of crap for Macy’s to allow her to be in the parade and not allow the Cheetah Girls to be in it just because of Adrienne Bailon’s one stupid mistake.

It is very much a double standard to dis-invite the Cheetah Girls because of one member’s choices while continuing to promote a minor that has engaged in various scandalous activities.
Adrienne made a less than optimal choice. However, by not letting the Cheetah Girls perform, you are hurting their young fans MUCH MUCH more.

This so not right. I aree wth the others that have posted. Sabrina Bryan and the other cheetah girl deserves to be at the Macy’s day Parade she is a great role come on Macy’s give her chance don’t let someone action’s from the band effect her status. How come you can let Miley C perform she is dating a guy who is older by 5 yrs and it’s illegal

What a hyocrite Macy’s day parade is. Double-standard for Cheetahs and Miley. Not fair.
