It’s not another celebrity line of clothing…it’s American Idol bling. Yep, it’s true. Freemantle, the group behind Idol, paired up with accessory maker Colibri to come out with a line of “American Idol” branded men’s and women’s watches, jewelry, accessories, & clocks. They’re going to have this stuff done in karat gold, sterling silver, and “base metal” (aka cheap stuff) so every wallet can be tempted.
The products won’t be out until January, to coincide with the show’s 8th season. The feature item of the line is going to be cell phone charms. they think that’s a natural tie in, since so many people use their cell phone’s to vote. Anymore, what cell phones can even accommodate the charms? Where the hell do you put them? Eh, not my problem.
When are they going to work on a deal for diamond grills?
