In the beginning, we had The Real World (and Puck), then came The Hills (with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt), and now we have the Joe The Plumber Show. Calm down…this isn’t a political rant, I promise. I know that you’ve all had enough of the political stuff to last a life time.
Joe ‘The Plumber’ Wurzelbacher has been stumping around with McCain ever since he asked his big question about buying a business he can’t afford anyway. But now, he’s got a publicist! Yes, an actual publicist! Granted, his interviews have been more pointed than Sarah Palin’s, and more people seem to want to talk to him, than to Sarah. His publicist is Jim Della Croce, who owns the Nashville firm The Press Office. Yep, Nashville, country music capital of the world. And this firm does rep some country music singers…not really any of the huge one’s, but some that you have probably heard of.
“…and I will represent him for PR and we’ll jointly work together to further Joe’s interests and generate opportunities in publishing, artistic endeavors and wherever Joe wants to take it.”
So does this mean that the guy who was so worried that if he made more money, he’d have to pay more taxes is now looking at book deals and, oh holy hell, a recording contract? I’m guessing if he does either of these things he still won’t be out of the tax bracket he’s in right now, because no one is going to buy his stuff (William Hung anyone?).
I’ve got to go and pour myself a few martini’s…wine just isn’t going to cut it tonight.
