Iran has determined that Barbie and Ken are detrimental to the youth of their country. So in response, they’ve created Dara and Sara dolls. The perception of Barbie is that she wears revealing clothes, is well-endowed and the girls who play with her are believed to then grow up to become women who reject Iranian values. Unlike Ken and Barbie, Sara and Dara are brother and sister.
I don’t know about Iranian kids, but that whole brother sister thing could (Dara and Sara) lead to more damaging stuff than wanting to wear stripper clothes, bleach their hair blonde, want breast implants, and starve themselves to become skinny. I know when we were growing up…Ken and Barbie used to go at it hot and heavy with their un-anatomically correct selves. I’m just saying…..
