Amanda Beard showed up at the grand opening of Lavo restaurant and nightclub at the Palazzo in Las Vegas this weekend. Beyond the Olympic medals she won, I have no idea why she’s there.
Oh, Amanda. What is wrong with her? Aside from the fact that she’s got those eyes that seem to follow you everywhere you go, even though they’re only in a picture. Apparently winning all of those Olympic medals wasn’t enough of a message to us non-athletes. Now it’s, Joan Crawford in “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” over plucked and drawn on eyebrows and some kind of hair handle coming out of the back of your head. Is that so that we’ve got something to grab on to and take you to a better stylist and makeup person? At this rate, the only award you’re going to get out of the pool is the woman who most successfully looks 20 years older than she really is.
