Rueben Studdard seems to have forgotten to pay someone, after his big American Idol win…the government. The Birmingham News is reporting he owes $193,000 in back taxes. Oops! They’ve gone so far as to place liens on all of his properties (whatever those may be). An entertainment complex has been scheduled to be built in Birmingham, that would include a club bearing Studdard’s name (because he’s pledged a “six-figure” dollar amount to it). The developer seems to be putting a positive spin on the whole situation, but he also says he’s been trying to get in touch with Studdard’s NY management, and gotten no response. The complex was supposed to break ground in 2007 and hasn’t yet. Inneresting….
