
After almost two years of discussions, Renzo Rosso of Diesel fame, has acquired a majority stake in Victor & Rolf. The story appeared in today’s WWD.
You probably already know Diesel, for its line of denim. Until Victor and Rolf did that small line for H&M, they had only done couture clothing. Now that Rosso is involved with them, the plan is to roll out more ready to wear along with licensed products and some free standing stores.
They make some really cool stuff, and by the time I got to H&M they were all sold out, so I’m pretty stoked about this.

V&R have had a ready to wear line for 10 years or more already.
They’re not going to design clothes for Diesel, if that’s what you think.
Don’t even expect them to be making clothes in the Diesel price-range…
