Before you get your yarmulke all in a wad, this is not a slanderous story about a Jewish person. J-Stache is the alter-ego of one half of the 80’s pop group Hall & Oates, John Oates, to be more specific. This is also the proposed name of a cartoon, which I’m sure will be phenomenally popular (cough cough).
According to Billboard.com, Primary Wave Music Publishing, who owns a majority stake in the Hall & Oates music catalog has put together a cartoon clip and is shopping it as a show.
Oates is portrayed as a modern-day family man and finds himself enticed back to the rock star life by his mustache, which is voiced by comedian Dave Attell….Oates summons his own mustache with a fist pump that simultaneously changes his clothes from conservative attire to pink pants and white boots.
Primary Wave also is involved with the Kurt Cobain music catalog, so I can only imagine the project they have in mind for him. Let’s see….Kurt magically changes into a leopard print leotard and sprouts a tail and pussycat ears, then goes on to fight crime and solve mysteries. All while his hard charging music catalog plays in the background.

Hmm… see, I think these people are smart enough to know who’s got a sense of humor about themselves. John Oates; definitely. Kurt Cobain/Courtney Love; not so much.
I foresee an AdultSwim time slot for this show in the near future…
