I’ll admit it, I’ve been on a couple of blind dates before. People that my friends said “oh my God, have I got a guy for you….you’d be perfect for one another.” Or “he is soooo impossibly good looking, you’ll just die when you meet him - and he’s sweet, funny, and smart.” None of these comments were even close to being the truth. What I’ve figured out about blind dates is that you find out what your friends really think of you when they set you up on one of these things. And I’m not even going to mention when your own family tries to set you up on a date. So how much do you really trust you friends to find you Mr. or Ms. Right?
Well, reality television to the rescue (can’t you just hear the trumpets?) Now there’s a show that is going to air where you are set up and married in an arranged marriage, by those nearest and dearest to you. As if that’s not enough fun for you…your first year of marriage will be filmed, for everyone to watch. This will be more fun to watch than Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey in “Newlyweds.”
