Earlier this week, the brazilliant geniuses at some marketing/ad agency thought it would be an awesome idea to hire a skywriter to put “Welcome Home Tori and Dean” in the skies above Los Angeles. Yeah, it didn’t work so well. 22 letters written in the sky, using smoke, is kind of like farting in the wind. The stink is there for a little bit, but it quickly gets dissipated. Yesterday, I’m driving around running some errands and what do I see in the sky? Why another piss poor attempt at promoting this stupid Tori Spelling show. But this time, they limited the writing to “Tori & Dean.” As you can see in picture 1, even that was too many letters. So they did it again, about 30 minutes later, the results of that are in picture 2. It looked like they were trying to conserve smoke or trying to reduce their carbon footprint in the second attempt because it wasn’t any better. In fact, attempt #2 must have been done be a dyslexic….the R and & were both backwards.
The other thing I don’t get…besides the ridiculous attempt at promotion…is why they did this at 10 a.m. during the week. If they were trying to get the attention of the bloggers, I suppose they were able to do that to some degree, but if you don’t do your promotion right…we’ll skewer you. So far, you’re 0 for 3.
