Sharon Stone did what she does 2nd best, shooting off her mouth, and now she’s paying the price. Last week, on the red carpet at Cannes, she said that the China earthquake was karma paying them back for the mistreatment of Tibet. China, and the Chinese people, didn’t like that very much. As a result, she lost her China spokesperson gig with Christian Dior and now she, and her films, have been banned for life from the Shanghai International Film Festival. She was on the jury there in 2007.
Looks like her PR agent is going to need to sit down with her and give her the “shut your mouth” lesson again. Then, they’re going to have to get into image makeover mode. May the force be with you.
