When are these clowns going to come up with a better ad campaign than this? The last time they made Lindsay Lohan their scapegoat and now they’ve stooped to using 2 guys busted for DUI in 2003 (Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day and Steve McNair) for their ad in the New York Times today. Oh yeah, they threw in Kiefer Sutherland’s mugshot from 2007 for good measure. I think that most people understand what drunk driving is, but continue to do it. Sticking celebrity mugshots in our faces and claiming that they need the interlock devices while the rest of us don’t is just plain irresponsible and stupid. Besides, us bloggers already have the job of pointing out the stupid things that celebrities do.
I was just checking out the ABI website and it looks like they’ve got a little golf tournament coming up and they’re looking for sponsors and for a restaurant and an alcohol company to cater their lunch. If Hollywood was smart, one of these celebrity owned restaurants would offer to cater their luncheon and let the little ABI group hear their feelings regarding being the poster children for all of the drunk drivers of the world.
