Back in the early 80’s, there was a show called “Circus of the Stars.” As you can guess by the title, it was celebrities of the day performing circus acts. It was a lot like this new show “Secret Talents of the Stars,” except it actually used some pretty A-List celebs. Apparently, CBS couldn’t get anything but D-List celebs to participate in this little gem of a program. My guess is that today’s celebrities require payment for just about everything, including wiping themselves. Unless, of course, they’re looking for just a simple daily paparazzi photo shoot. Breaking a sweat going shopping or out to eat is a lot easier than making an ass of yourself on national television. Although, with some of the younger celebs, at least they’d be getting paid to look stupid. How much longer before we see Lindsay Lohan on this show…or better yet, her mom -- Dina Lohan. Hey, their family is big enough, they could do a whole family circus act. CBS, you can thank me later for this gem of an idea.I included a clip of Brooke Shields, from 1983, performing on “the web.”
