Kanye West, not content to be an uber musical producer and rapper has added to his empire. He has launched Kanye Travel Ventures. Yep - an online travel agency. According to the press release, “…it is a travel program specifically geared to serve the business and leisure travel demands of Kanye’s world-wide fan base.” Eventually, the fans will be able to buy their Kanye concert tickets and other merchandise on the site…all while booking their travel too. (insert sarcastic WOW here) I guess you’ll be able to get your very own “official” pair of window blind sunglasses.
I went to the site to see what was so special. Um, nothing. It looks like a combination of Hotwire, Priceline, & Orbitz all rolled into one. The only thing that makes you even aware that it’s Kanye’s site is the name and a couple of little Takashi Murakami pictures at the top.
