“Girls Gone Wild” creator, Joe Francis, has lost some of the gilding from his golden boy status. He just learned that he lost his bid to be released from a Nevada jail without the fear of being extradited to Florida. The 34-year-old video empire founder is facing trial in Nevada for tax evasion. But Florida wants to get their hands on him again for charges related to filming underage girls on spring break. Joe has been cooling his heels in the Nevada jail for nearly a year because he doesn’t want to go back to Florida prison again. It’s pretty cushy in his current jail cell as compared to the accommodations he gets in Florida. Duh…different types of charges. You get treated a bit differently when you commit a white collar crime against the government vs. a crime against humanity - the filming of underage girls.
Joe’s lawyers were trying to get a bail deal arranged for him that would have allowed him to be released from jail and would have kept him from being extradited to Florida and being thrown in jail there. On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Brian Sandoval denied him.
I think the government should save us all a lot of money by just sending him to jail in Florida and let the laws of prison take care of him. It’s a well known fact that prisoners don’t like fellow inmates who do things to children. Filming underage girls is right in there with that.
