I woke up this morning, not in my usual nasty, snarky, look on the dark side of things self. I’m sure that will change as soon as I get in my car and try to drive somewhere. So this is one of my nicer posts.

Lindsay Lohan has recently found herself recreating “The Last Sitting” photographs of Marilyn Monroe, by world famous photographer Bert Stern. If you’re not familiar with Mr. Stern or “The Last Sitting,” here’s a brief history. Bert was fascinated by Marilyn, whom he had seen a few years earlier. He went to LA to seduce and photograph her. He took thousands of pictures of her for Vogue Magazine, in 3 days, at the Bel-Air hotel. Found out that she was “troubled” and six weeks later she was dead.

I’m seeing a few similarities between Marilyn and Lindsay…mainly the “troubled” part. These were shot for New York Magazine, not Vogue and I’m guessing that Stern’s intentions were not to seduce Lindsay….seeing as her type is generally not that stable and a little on the greasy and skeezy looking side.

But these pictures are stunning and I thought you would like to see them.
